If I like you - you will have to go to great lengths to make that change. If I am forced to hate you - well, I'm sorry for your loss. But eleven times out of ten, I will probably give you a second chance if you ask.
Our story so far:
I started this journal on Dec. 3, 2003 - 4 days after telling Grumpy (my now ex-husband) that our marriage was over. I was determined to stop hiding - to stop pretending that everything was okay - and start being honest and open about who I was and how I wanted to live my life.
Since then, I have been on a continual journey to find out how to be true to myself - and what I want. I have randomly moved half across the U.S. just to see if I could survive, I have suffered the deaths of dear family members, I've had my share of heartbreaks, I have returned home to renew bonds with family members, and now I find myself back in the South, a few years older, a few more gray hairs to color over, and a few new life lessons under my belt.
I'm still learning though - how to improve myself, how to be more tolerant of others, and how to always move forward.
And you know what? It's not about what life does to you, but what you do with your life.
Oh, and cucumbers. Life is always a little bit about cucumbers. Viva la difference!
